Trot is a music genre that sings of family and love between men and women to traditional Korean tunes, and it is as popular as K-POP. The original trot audition program “Mr. Trot,” produced by Korea’s TV Chosun and which sparked the huge trot boon, is finally coming to Japan.
"Mr. Trot Japan" discovers the next generation of talented male vocalists who can infuse new breath into oldies loved by all generations.
The program will be hosted by Terumoto Goto (Football Hour) as the main MC, Takashi Hosokawa as the main judge, and Satoshi Takebe (music producer) as the judge and music producer for the debut artist. The winner will receive a prize of 10 million yen and a major debut, and there will be a Japan-Korea collaboration with the contestants of "Mr. Trot" produced by TV Chosun.
This time, we have started accepting secondary applications allowing more people to participate.

Second application: From August 1, 2024 (Thursday) to August 25, 2024 (Sunday)

Qualification
-Men aged 15 or older who have completed compulsory education as of November 1, 2024
(Minors require parental consent.)
・ Any nationality welcome
・ Able to communicate in Japanese
・ Professional singing experience is not required.
・ Those who belong to entertainment agencies and those who work professionally are also eligible to participate.

・ Those who can secure a schedule to participate in the recording from the second selection round held in Japan to the announcement of the final ranking
