Trot is so popular in Korea that it is equally as popular as K-POP. It is a music genre that sings of family and love between men and women, set to traditional melodies. Thehugely popular survival audition program "Tomorrow is Mr. Trot" produced by TV Chosun, which gained fans among the younger generation as well, while the majority of fans are in their 40s and 50s, brought about a major trot movement. It recorded a peak audience rating of 35.7%, vastly breaking the record for the highest-rated audition program in Korea. The program that sparked a social phenomenon in Korea and gave birth to many stars is finally coming to Japan.
"Mr. Trot Japan" will discover the next generation of talented male vocalists who will breathe new life into oldies beloved by all generations. The winner will receive a prize of 10 million yen and a major label debut. There will also be a collaboration with contestants from "Tomorrow is Mr. Trot" produced by TV Chosun.
The application period will be until Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

-Men aged 15 or older who have completed compulsory education as of November 1, 2024

・Able to communicate in Japanese
・Professional singing experience is not required.
・Those who belong to an entertainment agency or are working professionally are also eligible to participate.
