Regarding the accident during the recording of the program
On Tuesday, October 10th, performer Takashi Okamura was injured during the recording of a program organized by our company.
The details and background of the accident are as follows:
■ Overview and background
At approximately 4:55 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10th, during a recording session at a sports gym in Tokyo with an instructor present, the athlete ran toward the vaulting box and, as he took off after jumping, felt discomfort around the Achilles tendon in his right foot. The recording was stopped and first aid was administered, applying ice.
After undergoing examination at the hospital, he was diagnosed with a ruptured Achilles tendon.
As for Okamura's future, he plans to continue his activities under the guidance of a doctor, taking into consideration his physical condition and the nature of his work.
We take the recent injury sustained by Mr. Okamura Takashi very seriously and would like to offer our deepest apologies to him and all those involved.
We intend to take even greater safety precautions when recording programs in the future.
